Sports Illustrated thinks so!

I wasn’t even thinking about this, to be perfectly honest. No doubt that James is worthy of having his named mentioned amongst the best in the country, but for him to appear in anyone’s pre-season list is truly surprising to me.

My surprise is not because he isn’t good, but that we all know that the Heisman Trophy goes to the “sexy” skilled positions on the offensive side of the ball. James is the only defensive player on Gene Menez’s list.

And he’s not the only Buckeye getting his named tossed around. Teammate Beanie Wells is Menez’s front-runner; ahead of 2007 winner, Tim Tebow.
