James Laurinaitis has been voted the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year for the 2008 Season. He was the preseason Defensive Player of the Year in addition to being named 2007′s Player of the Year too.

Ohio State extended its Big Ten road win streak with a dominant 30-20 win over the Fighting Illini. This was a must-win for the team to stay alive in their quest to grab part of the Big Ten Championship title.
