James Laurinaitis has been voted the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year for the 2008 Season. He was the preseason Defensive Player of the Year in addition to being named 2007′s Player of the Year too.

Being a back-to-back Player of the Year in the Big Ten Conference is a big deal, so big congrats to James.

He was a First Team All-Big Ten Defense selection in the eyes of the media and coaches; the former voting him in unanimously.
