James Laurinaitis and his Buckeye teammates have all arrived safely in Arizona to resume preparation for the Fiesta Bowl against Texas.
The team had a light run-through practice today, followed by a bit of conditioning. Tomorrow they will practice at 11 AM, with the 1st 20 minutes being “open” to the media.

James Laurinaitis became only second college football player to be named to an Associated Press All-American for 3 consecutive years. That’s a big, big deal!
The only other player to make the AP first team three times was Pitt’s Bill Fralic back in the early 80s. So James is in select company.

Buckeye fans interested in purchasing tickets for next month’s Fiesta Bowl can do so beginning Wednesday, December 17th at 9AM by calling 1-800-GO BUCKS.
Ohio State announced the public sale with tickets costing $155.
You can also buy tickets for the pre-game party ($20) and parking ($30).

James has been named to the Walter Camp All-American Team, along with teammate Malcolm Jenkins, who won the Jim Thorpe Award tonight at the Home Depot ESPNU College Football Awards in Orlando.
James was up for the Chuck Bednarik Award tonight, but did not win it. Rey Maualuga took the award home for USC.

James Laurinaitis has been named to the ESPN.com Big Ten all-conference team, the website announced today.
Malcolm Jenkins also made the team on defense and Ray Small represents the Buckeyes on Special Teams.
Tonight, James is in Houston for the Lombardi Award ceremony.

The official BCS pairings were announced earlier this evening and Ohio State is headed back to Arizona to meet the Texas Longhorns in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. This will mark the 3rd time in 4 years that the Buckeyes and Longhorns have met. The last head-to-head went to the Bucks on the road in Austin.
