Buckeyes Earn BCS Date with Longhorns
The official BCS pairings were announced earlier this evening and Ohio State is headed back to Arizona to meet the Texas Longhorns in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. This will mark the 3rd time in 4 years that the Buckeyes and Longhorns have met. The last head-to-head went to the Bucks on the road in Austin.
Tickets for the game go on sale Tuesday. Click here for more info!
The team was informed of its postseason destination at the team’s annual banquet. James and his teammate Malcolm Jenkins were both recipients of the Bill Willis Award, which goes to the team’s most valuable defensive player. I would agree 100% with that. James also received the Randy Gradishar award that goes to the team’s standout linebacker.
Beanie Wells was the Team’s MVP. He also picked up 3 more awards for the top offensive player, top player in the Michigan game, and top tailback.
You can listen to some of James’ and his teammates comments on their Fiesta Bowl selection on the official athletics site. Additionally, you can watch a video of James talking about the big game, courtesy of Rivals.
