A big congratulations goes out to the man, James Laurinaitis. He was awarded the 2008 Lott Trophy at a ceremony in Orange County tonight.

I felt he was most deserving of this award, out of all that he was nominated for because it’s given to the defensive player for his on-field performance and personal character. Very nice to see James honored in this manner. Also, it would have been a shame, given the high level he’s played at for his entire college career, to get shut out of all the awards for his senior season.
