Tough Loss for the Buckeyes
It was a thrilling ending out in the desert, but one that did not fall the way that James and his OSU teammates would have liked. The team fell to Texas 24-21 in last night’s Fiesta Bowl. It came down to the final seconds as Texas scored the game winning touchdown with just 16 seconds remaining.
The Ohio State defense had a rough 3rd quarter where they were constantly on the field. This was due to the offense failing to convert any first downs. But they rebounded in the 4th quarter with several key stops of the Longhorn offense to help the team charge back and take a late lead. Unfortunately, it was not enough.
James, playing his final game for the scarlet and gray, finished with 9 tackles (6 solo, 3 asst).
It’s going to be strange not seeing my favorite Buckeye lead the team out on the field next season. James will move on to the NFL to a lucky team that will instantly become one of my favorites.
Thanks for everything, James! Buckeye Nation will miss you!
FYI: This site isn’t closing. It will continue to support and promote his career for many years.
