James, Father to Speak at Make-A-Wish Event
James, and his father Joe, will be on hand for the Northwest Ohio Make-A-Wish Foundation’s annual celebrity sports auction and dinner. The event takes place February 26 at the SeaGate Convention Centre in Toledo, OH. (After the NFL Combine)
Here is a brief description of the event:
This exciting event will include dinner, live and silent auctions, a speech from a wish child, and remarks from our celebrity guest speakers, father and son duo, James and Joe Laurinaitis. Joe Laurinaitis, also known as the Road Warrior Animal, is considered the most decorated Tag Team in the 100 year history of professional wrestling. James Laurinaitis, an All America linebacker and Butkus Award winner at The Ohio State University, is a finalist for this year’s Lombardi Award. There will be over 300 live and silent auctions including sports memorabilia, vacations, women’s boutique items, Hollywood items, entertainment and sporting event tickets. All proceeds from the event will be used to help grant the wishes of children in Northwest Ohio who suffer from life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. This is our largest fundraiser each year, raising enough money to grant approximately 30 wishes.
