The NFL Network wired James during the Redskins win, and it’s great to see how much energy he has! He was always pretty keyed in during his Buckeye years as well, so this isn’t much of a surprise as it is a treat.

The official BCS pairings were announced earlier this evening and Ohio State is headed back to Arizona to meet the Texas Longhorns in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. This will mark the 3rd time in 4 years that the Buckeyes and Longhorns have met. The last head-to-head went to the Bucks on the road in Austin.

James Laurinaitis has been voted the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year for the 2008 Season. He was the preseason Defensive Player of the Year in addition to being named 2007′s Player of the Year too.

The Ohio State Buckeyes won their 5th straight match-up over the Michigan Wolverines, with a dominant 42-7 performance in the ‘Shoe today.
